Taraba state governor urges Christians in Southern Kaduna, other areas affected by religious attacks





Taraba state Governor, Darius Ishaku, has asked Christians in groups influenced by religious emergency, to express their protected rights to self preservation or face been wiped out by some of these fanatics that have kept on taking up arms against them. 

Talking against the setting of the rehashed assaults on Southern Kaduna and some other christian groups by a few radicals in a few sections of the North, Ishaku said Christians ought not crease their hands and look as they are wiped out by these fanatics. He said this at a thanksgiving administration sorted out by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to commend the new year and to likewise petition God for casualties of Southern Kaduna slaughter and different casualties of psychological warfare the nation over.

Ishaku talked through the Secretary to the State government, Anthony Jellason, who spoke to him at the occasion.

“I was at the site of the mayhem in parts of Ardo Kola this morning and the level of destruction there is unimaginable. A few weeks ago, it was in Gassol, then Karim. We are all aware of what is going on in Southern Kaduna. The people must wake up from their slumber and defend themselves. You can’t just lie down and allow yourselves to be annihilated by other groups. You have a constitutional right to self-defense and now is the time to use it. The government alone cannot do it”he said.
