It was tragedy on Monday as a security guard simply identified as Emmanuel
died naked inside a petrol tanker while scooping fuel at Frankies
Concerns Limited (a filling station) along Enerhen road, opposite MCC Junction in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, DAILY POST is reporting.
The security guard was found dead in one of the petroleum tankers today
when the tanker driver was about loading products at the
depot.
It was gathered that the deceased security man got suffocated while attempting to scoop fuel with a bucket from the
petrol tanker.
The driver whose name is yet to be confirmed drove the tanker with the
lifeless body of the deceased back to the filling station where the
corpse was removed and taken to a mortuary in the area.
A Staff of the filling Station who spoke to DAILY POST on condition of anonymity stated that the security guard hung his clothes in a stick beside one of their offices yesterday and since then, they had looked for him to no avail, only to discover his dead body later in the taker.
According to the Staff, “He hung his dress and short-nicker by his office. We
started looking for him since yesterday until this moment, but could not be traced.
” The tanker went to depot to load fuel ad his lifeless body was
discovered inside the tanker when they wanted to load
it and immediately the driver drove back the tanker to the filling
station where the body was removed and taken to the mortuary.”
The Management of the filling station declined speaking with DAILY POST, denying that the deceased man was its staff.
The brother to the manager of the filling station simply identified as
Pastor Newman promised to reach us when he gets across to his brother.
He said, he was at the filling station to find out if it was his brother
that lost his life.
The Divisional Police Officer of Enerhen Police Divisional
Headquarters, CSP Hassan Galadima confirmed the incident saying, “The
police has commenced full scale investigation into the matter to
unravel the cause of the death of the deceased” noting that the remains of the deceased has been deposited in a mortuary
