A once in a life time opportunity indeed, EDO xplore had the opportunity of processing with the Ediaken of Uselu today as he marched round with over 800 chiefs and over 50,000 persons. Today marks the beginning of the Coronation Rites of the Oba of Benin. A Procession which started at about 4pm today featured thousands of persons, including Men of the Nigeria Army, The Nigeria Polices, Red cross Association, Boy scout and other Paramilitaries. The Ediaken of Uselu was excorted to the Sacred Palm trees, where he performed a traditional rite called the Amamienson - aimiuwa (If you don't work, you won't eat), by climbing one of the Sacred Palm trees.
