Whatever the school of thought you are from (pro Buhari or pro Jonathan), it is obvious that the Super Falcons have been unfairly treated.

The female national football team won the 2016 African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) by defeating Cameroon 1 - 0 in the final.

And while their opponents are treated like queens with gifts and a hero's embrace, out Falcons have been forced to protest that their bonuses have not been paid.

But things were not always like this. During the Goodluck Jonathan era, the Super Falcons won the AWCON title in 2014 and were duly celebrated as heroes.
