A man has been arrested for murder, after his colleague's body was found chopped up and dumped in a bush.

According to reports from Vanguard, a 28-year-old security guard identified as Haruna Abubakar, was recently arrested in Lagos, for the murder of his colleague.
Abubakar had reportedly chopped his body into pieces, packed it in a sack and finally dumping it in a bush near the farm where they both worked in Ibeju, Lekki.
According to a source, Abubakar was arrested after the victim's brother reported his disappearance to the police. The victim had worked as a herdsman, while Abubakar was the security guard in charge of the farm.
The spokesperson for the police in the state, SP Dolapo Badmus, confirmed the incident, yesterday.
Confirming the incident, the Lagos state police spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmus, said:
“On December 3, the suspect had an altercation with the victim, who is about 27 years old. It resulted into a fight and in the process, the suspect killed the deceased with a dagger. Abubakar cut him into pieces, packed him in a sack and dumped him in the bush. The brother to the deceased, one Adamu, reported the case of a missing person to the police after his brother failed to return home after the day’s work.
The clues gathered by the police led to the arrest of the suspect, who later confessed to the crime and led the operatives to where the dismembered body was recovered. The Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Panti, for further investigation and prosecution.”
